The Ground Grid (GG, Grounded Grid) preamplifier is a classic triode amplifier circuit originating from early radio RF amplification, now widely adopted in high-fidelity audio.
Different from the common common-cathode tube circuit, its grid is AC-grounded. The audio signal feeds into the cathode, and the amplified signal is taken from the plate. This topology greatly suppresses the Miller effect, bringing outstanding wideband frequency response and excellent transient performance.
